Frederick Health Hospital Auxiliary completes $1M pledge for Critical Care Campaign

The Frederick Health Hospital Auxiliary has officially completed its $1 million pledge to the hospital's ReEnvisioning Critical Care Campaign, delivering a final payment of $260,000. The contribution brings the volunteer group's total support for the project to the full pledged amount, marking the end of a multi-year fundraising effort.

The money goes toward renovating and expanding the hospital's intensive care and critical care spaces. The project, known internally as the ReEnvisioning Critical Care Campaign, aims to modernize patient rooms, improve family waiting areas, and upgrade medical technology in the units. Hospital officials say the changes will allow for more efficient care delivery and better outcomes for the sickest patients.

The auxiliary, made up of community volunteers who run the hospital's gift shop and hold various fundraisers, has been a steady donor to Frederick Health for decades. This latest pledge, however, is among the largest in the group's history. Auxiliary leaders said the final payment reflects the dedication of its members and the generosity of local residents who supported bake sales, book fairs, and other events over the years.

Hospital administration thanked the auxiliary during a small ceremony, noting that the funds have already helped purchase new monitoring equipment and support construction of private rooms. The critical care renovation is expected to be fully complete by next spring.
