NYC Health + Hospitals has announced the appointment of Alina Moran, MPA, FACHE, FAB, as the new Chief Executive Officer of Elmhurst Hospital. Moran, a seasoned executive with deep roots in the public health system, brings over two decades of experience to this critical role.

Moran is a familiar leader within the organization, having previously served as the hospital's Executive Director and, most recently, as the Senior Vice President for the system's Queens Health Network. Her extensive background includes navigating the immense challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic at the epicenter of the outbreak in Queens. Her proven track record in operational management, strategic planning, and commitment to equitable care made her the standout candidate.

In her new position, Moran will oversee all aspects of the 545-bed acute care facility, a vital safety-net hospital serving one of the most diverse communities in the nation. Her priorities are expected to include advancing clinical excellence, improving patient access and experience, and strengthening community partnerships.
