Oxford Brain Diagnostics Showcases Five New Studies on Brain Health Measurement at AAIC 2026

Oxford Brain Diagnostics has unveiled five new studies at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in 2026, advancing its vision for measuring brain health and tracking neurodegenerative disease. The research highlights the potential of the company's MRI-based Cortical Disarray Measurement technology, known as CDM.

The findings support several key applications. These include identifying patients earlier, characterizing different disease stages, monitoring treatment effects, and aiding therapeutic development for Alzheimer's disease. The technology uses standard MRI scans to measure the microstructure of the brain's cortex, offering a non-invasive way to assess changes linked to neurodegeneration.

One study focused on patient identification, showing how CDM could help distinguish between healthy aging and early signs of Alzheimer's pathology. Another examined disease characterization, mapping how cortical disarray progresses over time. A third study looked at treatment monitoring, suggesting the technology could track how patients respond to interventions. The remaining studies explored CDM's role in clinical trials, where it might serve as a biomarker for drug efficacy.

Oxford Brain Diagnostics is based in Oxford, United Kingdom. The company positions CDM as a tool that could complement existing methods like amyloid PET scans and cognitive tests. By providing a direct measure of neuronal loss and cortical disruption, the technology aims to give clinicians and researchers a clearer picture of brain health.

The presentations at AAIC 2026 mark a step toward broader adoption of MRI-based biomarkers in Alzheimer's research and clinical practice.
