Hinge Health has drawn fresh attention from investors who are weighing whether the digital musculoskeletal care company is still undervalued after a sharp run higher. The stock recently traded near $94.90, following a 90 day share price return of 36.7 percent and a year to date gain of 108.3 percent. Over the past year, total shareholder return reached 66.8 percent, a sign of how quickly sentiment has turned in favor of the business.
The company's model centers on virtual care for muscle and joint pain, an area that has attracted more interest as employers and health plans look for ways to control spending on surgery, opioids, and in person therapy. That shift has helped Hinge Health build a larger presence in the digital care market and has given investors a reason to track its growth beyond the initial public offering phase.
Even with the strong performance, questions remain about how much of that expansion is already reflected in the share price. Supporters point to rising adoption and a large addressable market. Skeptics note that competition in virtual care is intense and that keeping patients engaged over time is not easy. The next few quarters will likely determine whether Hinge Health can justify its valuation or whether the stock has moved ahead of its fundamentals.
