PARKERSBURG — The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department has officially vacated its longstanding facility on Sixth Street in Parkersburg, according to county officials. The Wood County Commission received confirmation that the health department has moved out of its previous location at 211 Sixth Street and has returned all keys to the property.
Wood County Administrator Marty noted that this transition marks a significant change for the health department, which served the community from this site for many years. The decision to relocate comes as part of a broader strategy to enhance services and accessibility for residents.
While the health department's new location has yet to be disclosed, officials are optimistic about the potential for improved facilities that will better serve the public's health needs. The move is expected to streamline operations and provide a more modern environment for both staff and community members.
